This is my best find so far and one I might have trouble beating
I found it recently at my Abbey site, but it's been away being researched for a while so I couldn't post!
It was just sitting on the top in a clump of mud and gave a signal I would have ignored as iron if I hadn't seen it
At first I thought it was just a modern wedding band with an inscription, but after looking at the style of writing and the
spelling I wanted to give Crusader a call before I scrapped it
He told me it definately needed looking at as it could be very early
Research shows it is a 23 or 24 carat gold Poesy ring weighing 9.6 grammes, made between 1710 and 1750
Inscription reads: God hath made thee my choyce, in him and thee i doe rejoyce.
Maybe IP will be lucky enough to join you up there one day

How do you find Gold coins? Reply: 'By finding lots of Silver ones..'
A real man thinks about detecting every 6 seconds.
