Today's Hunt at the Old Ghost Town

Went out today to do some detecting with a few buddies. Today was the last day that t-bucket could go out detecting due to shoulder surgery tomorrow. He was a nervous wreck, so I thought it would calm him down. Did manage to find this pie cut section of a Reale. It is the size a half dollar and I believe to be a 4 Reale. Thanks for looking. HH

Looks like you guys had a good hunt, with some nice weather for a change. Let's hope everything goes good with Gary's surgery.

Beautiful cut piece, particularly so well worn from being in circulation! Great find. :icon_thumleft:

You should have been there too. Yes, I hope Gary's surgery goes well. Sure will miss detecting with him. I guess he can do a lot of research for us during his recovery time.

Thanks Patriot. Yes, I believe it did helped him some. He thanked me for taking him out. I will call him tomorrow to check up on him. I know he will be in a lot of pain for awhile.

Looks like about 6 and 1/4 cents worth (1/2 a bit). Awesome find, and it was good of you to get T-Bucket out for one more hunt. Hope all goes well. He'll be one up on you after having all that research time. :read2:

How big is a 8 Reale? This is half the width of a half dollar. Hope the research does him well next season, even though he is hard to beat now. I believe I will be in trouble next season. :'(
