1890's Farm house - nothing great but lots of fun

We only detected the front yard, we still have 3 sides...silver ring and dime, lots of wheat pennies...and some other fun stuff. One good thing is I really got to learn my new DFX how it reads certain coins and depths.

Anyone know what the 2.10 1/4 thing is?

Nice finds:) I think the 2.10 1/4 thing is a unit of measurement (weight). Is that a silver dime I see and is that ring silver?

I take it you had it set on coin/Jewelery mode.

They are some big casings...300 win mag.

My brother in law wanted to test out his detector for the first real time...well he almost chucked it on the road. It is a very low end bounty hunter and it just beeps all over..no pin point mode. It was like playing ping pong, that is how many sounds were coming from it. Well after 10 min, it was sitting and he was playing in the creek..hahaha.

I think that was weight too, but why the 2.10 1/4...makes no sense. I really learned my detector and had sore knees, it was like someone took a handful of wheat pennies and chucked them out the window and they went 4 inches down.

Silver dime and ring...and I only did the front yard.

Getting ready for our real hunts, Operation "Surrounding Work" ...maybe Ryan can find some more sucky school houses where the kids did not have money and traded in cigs.

the ring has the 925 markings...and had a place for a stone...could not find it.

3 silver dimes now that I cleaned them. I want to do a park some day Preston.....that would be fun.
