Well got out for a little while today to a fairly well known Yank camp, thats been hunted pretty hard.
But I did manage to bring home a little history. I found a few bullets, US belt plate, spur pieces and a couple brass whatsits. The one brass thing has a scene on it of a man, woman, girl holding what appears to be a baby and a dog holding a stick in his mouth. Any ideas on what it might be would be apreciated.
Thanks for looking, peanut

Pretty cool finds, is that some kind of a lid? Looks like it would slide onto a box maybe.

Not sure, I thought it might be part of one of those things that held a picture of someone.

Fantastic recoveries!!! That is one amazing "hunted out" site!
Thanks, I know it is "hunted out", but I'll go back.

A little history? Your close to banner finds there partner. And, no site is EVER hunted out. I grin when people tell me others have used Geiger counters on their property before...It tells me someones already removed the Iron and did the hard work for me.

Great finds! Anytime a belt plate is found, it is a great day. I don't know what the mystery buckle is. My guess is civilian item most likely, but the relic is a very nice one.

We found one of those little buckles (top right in your photo) last year. Here's what it looks like whole:
