Found these today with my new (to me) Explorer XS at my best site that I pounded with my Ace. I am quite happy considering this was my first time out with any other detector than my trusty Ace 250. I never found an eagle button always wanted to but never dreamed I would dig 2 in one trip!

Not only did you have a great couple of finds, the minelab performed well.

Must be something about a new Minelab and Eagle buttons.... I likewise found two on my very early hunts with my Etrac.

Nice ones you have there! :icon_thumright:

Congrats on the two eagles! That XS is one fine machine. How deep were the buttons? Was it depth that prevented the Ace finding them, or was it masking by junk? Just curious.

I think they are pre-civil war they are posted in whatzit to find out. They were about 5" deep masked by iron my ace used to get a one way signal but could not pinpoint even with the 4" sniper coil.

that is one big difference of the minelabs, they are much better at seeing goods in the trash, even with larger coil
