I have had a Garmin etrex for the last year and only used it to find my way back to camp while prospecting.
Last week i researched an old timbermill town of the 1800's there was supposed to be a local general store, post office school and the timber workers houses, here's the best part they also posted GPS coordinates, well? i thought that i would try out the GPS and se how good i was.
It was a 2 hrs drive from home just out of a country town called Warroona, easy the GPS worked? a treat, just about there when we came across this big gate saying Alcoa land, trespasses prosecuted, SH.T that was it,no way was i going inside that gate, we could see foundations and fruit trees that was not native to the area so we had found it and all we could do was stare at it.
While we were staring at the spot we spotted these guys also staring at us.
? ?Cheers Raoul
