Found silver in the "HUNTED OUT" Yankee camp!!
Went back to that hard hunted yank camp/house place today and my second, that's right second signal I dug was this 1835 capped bust half dime.To bad it has been holed, the land owner told me that Indians that fought for the north camped here, that might explain the hole, I heard they wore coins like jewelery. I also found another piece of a spur,this time the part with the roller. It also looks like the spoon handle I found has some strange looking markings on it, looks almost like Cherokee. This place has alot of big iron on it, that may be why no one has hunted this area very well. I bet I have removed about four, five gallon buckets full of big iron from this place. Thanks for looking.

WTG on the half dime. Persitence pays off. If you take the time to dig the iron, you find the good stuff. The "Iron Brigade" bunch are proof positive of this technique.
