War of 1812 Artillary Button! Found

i found this on the same field of my 2 silver reale and a 1730 halfpenny! this is my 3rd millitary button. The Eagle has it's legs on the cannon. Thanks

Oh yeah!! Nice early one. Is that pewter?

If so, might want to take some steps to preserve it.

im pretty sure its bronze or copper.. it's slightly greenish.. and kinda light

great piece of history in that button .it looks like the scripted A on the eagles chest as well , just found one like it about a month ago
