I got out to a new park today. Fired up the dfx and instantly started getting quarter signals one after another. I knew I was at a site that has never been hunted! Nickel, quarter, dime, quarter, pendant, quarter, ... I was only out for 15 minutes when I got the first ring. Steel with a gigantic fake diamond. Pretty cool. Another pendant. At least 15 more quarters. First pulltab 30 minutes in. Right next to that hole, another pulltab sound. 27 vdi and SOLID. Too loud. Like a pulltab on steroids. Thought for sure pulltab. Almost didn't dig, but I did. When it came out I only saw one little side of it in the clump, thought it was one of those old style pulltabs. Then I saw the yellow. Time slowed down for a minute as I knocked the dirt off one of the best rings of my life. 16 diamonds and a gigantic sapphire, in 14k. I threw off my headphones and did two somersaults. Seriously. Made my whole week.

That is one nice ring, it looks heavy, how many grams.

What a find, that made your day for sure.

Thanks for sharing and good luck in the future.

Hey, I have a question for you guys that work parks and schools and ball fields. How do you keep from destroying the grass, even being very carefull I always feel like I am damaging the turf. There is a tot-lot and a park just steps from one of the beaches that I work, I made a few runs through the other day my GT just to see what kind of targets were there, it's loaded, I don't think it has been worked at all.

I know that felt good. If you could bottle that feeling we could all get rich.

This is the best hobby in the world. I wish i would have started detecting earlier.

Congrats on the awesome find. I hope you didn't dump all your other finds out of your pockets when you did the somersaults. :D

Merry Christmas Dan.

Only TWO somersaults? I think that ring deserves about a DOZEN!

Congrats on the ring and making the banner. :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

I know the feeling .. a couple gold rings back I found a heavy beauty with 3 diamonds and I spontaneously yelled out : "THAT'S what I'm looking for!" Gotta love this hobby!

That is a smoking hot ring.

I think the sapphire and diamond combination is hard to beat for beauty.

You will look stunning watching "Twilight" in the theater! Be sure to apply extra glitter!

It's 'New Moon' now. The second movie in the Twilight saga. C'mon, Plehbah, keep up, :laughing7:
