Went out in the backyard this afternoon to see if the freeze and thaw had moved anything around. About 5 feet got a good signal on high sensitivity. Out pops a 1924 Buffalo in a good G4 or low Fine condition. May go out tomorrw if the weather holds out. Ground was not froze even though we have had days of snow and low temps. The 5 feet was 5 feet from backdoor, with coin 4" down. Sorry for bad photo. Trying to find a good way to take good photos with my digital camera. Any suggestions?

Very nice. I probably be out there with a flashlight all night looking.
But I am disappointed. I was hoping to see a buffalo with a brand mark of 1924 on it. LOL

Nice nickel. Try getting back more when you take a pic.

Did not clean it really. Washed it off under water and rubbed lightly with paper towel. Looks shiny due to glare of flash. Still has the dark look to it but very readable. I would grade it as being a good G-4 or maybe a light Fine.
