Hello!

I took a little road trip up to Albany Oregon today ~ I received permission to detect around a house that was built in 1910. The property around the house was pretty clean ~ I only found a little bit of clad, about 8 wheat cents dating from 1944 to 1952, and a 1941 BENTON COUNTY DOG TAX tag. After that I met up with Ron & Richard at a different location in Albany where I dug a 1946-S Roosevelt dime (Silver coin #1 for the year), and three wheat cents dating from 1920 to 1947.

Thanks for looking!
Neil

You couldn't ask for better weather to go detecting in Neil. :walk:
Congratulations on the 1st silver for 2010 and hope you will
find many more during the year. The dog tag cleaned up real
well and is a good find. Glad "the man" didn't get nasty..... :laughing9:

LOL ~ yeah, someone called the Police on me, Ron, and Richard! But Ron and Richard left before they came so I had to talk to 'em by myself. We received permission to detect a guys lawn, and I guess the neighbor assume we just walked up and start detecting without permission. So the cop knocked on the guy's door and talked to the home owner ~ the home owner told the cop that he gave us permission. So he wished me luck and went on his marry way. Too funny!

Neil,

A good start to a promising new year, and many more to come!

I went out alone on Saturday and found 1 silver Rosie, so I'm on the board too.

Hope to see you soon,

Mike

Great finds!!!

I especially love finding those older dog tags.

You're lucky you can get out and actually hunt turf. We're freezing our rears off and are under snow here! :(
