Hello!

Today was our club's monthly outing (www.cdclc.org). It was a little rainy but not enough to scare us away! After the outing a few of us met for lunch, then we headed to a public park to do some more detecting! It was a lot of fun, but I sure am tired now! Here's what I dug today:

1951-S Roosevelt dime
1964-D Roosevlt dime
2000-P Sac dollar
3 clad quarters
11 clad dimes
1 modern nickel
98 memorial cents
CTR ring marked "925"
Earring marked "SILVER"

These two Rosie dimes are my silver coin finds #8 & #9 for the year. This is only the second Mormon CTR ring that I've ever dug. And I think that this earring is the first piece of silver jewelry that I've found that was marked SILVER, instead of 925 or STERLING. Kinda cool!

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Nice finds, Congrats!

Last year I found a ring stamped SILVER, all my other ones are either sterling,
925, or 925 Mex (or Mexico).

Good luck,
HH.

Nice start to the year, Neil. I am at zero silvers so far this year, but I plan to finish 2010 really strong! You guys getting hit by this big weather system? The streets look like rivers here, but thankfully no snow yet at town level.

Nice finds. Could you tell me what CTR stands for and why is that a Mormon ring? Thank you.

CTR stands for CHOOSE THE RIGHT. The LDS (Mormon) church teaches that choosing the right brings happiness. And wearing these rings is a constant reminder to always do the right thing.

Your off to another great start, Neil. I bet it was another one of those long lunch days, right :laughing7: looks like the Northwest hasen't been hit hard like last winter. Good luck on future hunts. HH Ron
