Spent just less than 3 hours on the sticky field. We have now done as much as we can to go over the productive area & prove the already mapped limits of the site.

Poor day by our standards:

11 scrappies (1 I forgot to picture)
Interesting piece of Roman Pot with a thumb print in it
1922 Silver Sixpence brighten the day a little :-\

From now on its going to get tougher :tongue3:

They are likely to get poorer, we were lucky to have this field so early in the year. :(

There is an end even to the best sites >:(. Still you did very well. You had at least plenty of targets to keep you busy. What is that cool button? Any marks on it?

Its a decorated 'Tombac' button of the late 1700s, none of these where ever marked. It was a somewhat pleasing sight, as we get very few buttons of this site compared to the 30-40 from others, & this one was the first keeper. The others I only picture & count for fun (asked by another Tnet member).
