G'day to all,

Today we had to be at the airport to pick up our mate. So we decided to make a detour and pay a visit to the older suburbs of Perth. First of all, we Google-Earthed them. Our strict rule is to avoid detecting in obvious historic places and never-ever do any historic research on the area we going to hit. We have other criteria to apply. It's just our approach that works for us. We didn't have much time, only 5 hours to find a potential site and detect it. We managed to find 2 spots that produced a haul of relics. Sorry but we did not have time to clean and sort them all. They are a little bit of everything - silver, gold, relics that we know and what-it's. Here is a general view of them. I will post the details later. Thank u for viewing.

Thank u very much, KiwiJohn,

The ring is only 9ct Victorian rose gold one, and it is really missing the stones. But it was pointless to sift the soil in search of them as the soil is a kinda cemented in such a heat.

The older site (1840's - 1915) produced some coppers and silvers in a range of 1906-1912. Some of them are British, some - Australian. I am very much disappointed that we failed to find older coins. They must be there somewhere. The second, more modern, site brought us coins of 1925 - 1945. A bigger silver among them. All of the coins from there are Australian.

Hi IronSpike,

I wish I knew an answer to your question. I am going to clean the thing and post it in What is it?
