Well, Been MDing since mid Dec. when I bought a new XLT. Thought I would detect my front yard since the house was built in 1878. I got a target hit at 7" depth. It showed as a quarter and at about 7" I found my first silver ;D
It was a 1919 Standing Liberty in VG condition ! Also about a foot away I found a 1911 penny!
May sound corny but I am going to frame my first Sliver !
HHing to all. :D

There is nothing wrong about wanting to display your first Silver coin, and funny that it may be .I also found my first silver quarter in my front yard and it was 2 silver quarters in the same hole . One was a standing liberty quarter and the other a Washington. So enjoy your finds and keep it up with great results...... ;D ;D ;D

WTG Very nice coin. I have always heard "you can also find coins in your own yard, so search there too." You've proved it. Good job. Keep looking.

Congrats on finding one of the more difficult coins to detect!

I've been hunting 37 years and I doubt that I've found more than 3 standing liberties.
