Well, Been MDing since mid Dec. when I bought a new XLT. Thought I would detect my front yard since the house was built in 1878. I got a target hit at 7" depth. It showed as a quarter and at about 7" I found my first silver ;D
It was a 1919 Standing Liberty in VG condition ! Also about a foot away I found a 1911 penny!
May sound corny but I am going to frame my first Sliver !
HHing to all. :D

That doesn't sound corny at all. When you have an all clad day you just look up at your first silver and remember what hidden possiblities are still out there. ;)

Del,

silver is always nice.

Corney, no way. I've got my first silver on a bookshelf; not framed, but it is special.

Hope you find many more, the first is the one you will remember.

have a good un.................

Congrats Del40 on the first silver ! I agree with the others that your framing idea isn't corny. It IS something to be proud of and it is a milestone for you ! Good Luck in the future !

Hey, Del, Congratulations. I love SLQ's and a SLQ with the date still legible is a great find. The date was raised and it wore out pretty quickly.

Hey man, where's the picture?! Com'on! ;) JK. Good job. You are going to think it's easy finding silver. Well maybe at your house but usually it's not so easy - especially a SLQ. That is a nice find. My son and I have found over 50 silver coins but no SLQ. :P Anyway, congratulations and keep hunting.

I hope it's not corny,,, I'd hate to think I got old, and corny too... ;D
I framed my entire rookie year, about (5) months worth of silver for 2004:
