I went hunting a few times this week! Rob & I went yesterday for a few hours.
On both days I was using my new MXT. That thing sure does find the lead! :D
As you can see I found a lot of fired round balls & bullets and some other misc. lead. I also found a Eagle I cuff button & the back of another button. I dug a few Iron targets too. The first thing is some kind of a tool. Looks kinda like a maul or wedge. Any ideas??
The second iron thing is a piece of an cooking kettle. I found a picture of the same kind in the book. It has the same handle & ridge lines on it.
That's all for now catch ya next time!

Thanks for the feedback. It sure was fun hunting all day with my bud, Rob. Hopefully this snow will stop and we'll be able to get back out there. I'm itching to go back swinging.

That wedge is a Black smith's hardie, or a fuller.
A hardie goes into the anvil and is used for cutting hot metal with hammer blows. Hit once, turn the material over then hit again, a couple of times does the trick. A fuller is hand held and used for putting a grove in hot metal of starting folds. A blood grove on a knife is called a fuller,,,, because of the tool used to make it.
Thanks for you time. Arid.
