early 1900 late 1800 led toys

these were found in a turn of the centry house in portland oregon they were in a atic in a paper bag that was decentegrated raped in cloth. there is 41 of them 40 of them is a set and one is frome a differnt set they i very cool.

i did not find these but my budy did yesterday and gave them to me

any ideas on value or age?

A set like that could be worth 100's if not 1,000s of dollars.

I really couldn't say about the price/value

But just a comment as to how times have changed. I the early-mid eighties, as a boy I bought painted led soldiers. Now I bet it would be impossible to find any with such a fear of lead poisoning. It's funny to think how toys from China are often vilified (sometimes rightly so) for lead content, but our toys used to be made out of solid lead. Plus having cavalry and indians ... that probably reflects another cultural shift.
