thats cool nice find
there is a place near the SC-NC border where a cannonball is lodged in a tree and the tree grew around it
it looks real cool

Great find KYMD1983..I found a couple grape shot "ball's" up here in Md.Lot's of fragment's too,Is your's the twelve #er?Being a cabinetmaker by trade,sound's like there's a piece of furniture to be made of that tree.Excellent find..Congrat's and HH!!

ive only seen the tree once and it was just a passing glance
we were on a boat tour of the area and the guide pointed it out

Aerosmithy should try spell check. ;D (It's OK, I'm his Mom, I wouldn't say that to anyone else. ;) )

Daniel, it is on the SC side of Little River. Like he said we saw it from a boat, and I don't have a clue how to get to it by land.

The area that I have found the two is about a half mile away from the Big Hill Skirmish, location of a few battles during the Civil War.
