Hello. Found this stuff yesterday at this 1894's farm. I have the DFX set on a high trash mode. I have set the pre amp at 3 and set the ground sweep at 2 and I dig all targets that are above 45 especially around the low 90's. This technique seems to be paying off.
The gun I believe is a toy gun. But it's so corrodided.
Found a few pennies a couple of nickels. I think a tootsie care that I broke. I dug the horseshoe. Which was cool considering
it was my birthday yesterday. I think there's a harmonica reed too. I also managed to break two good shovels.
Thanks for looking.

Don;t give up on that toy gun ! You could get a decent display piece using electrolysis to clean it up ! Here is a pic of a 1940's Kilgore cap gun and a 1950's cap gun cleaned up using electrolysis ! I wish I had taken a before Pics but I did not expect such good results ! MaineRelic.

Some cool stuff. You should try electrolysis to clean the gun. I dug a toy gun a while back that dated to the 1880's. You should invest in a good digging tool. they might cost more but it will be better than replacing broken ones. I use a small digger sold by a local dealer. I've used this type for about 15 years. I've lost a couple but never broken one.

Belated Happy Birthday to you! :occasion13:

Those are some neat finds! Might want to try a Lesche digger. I've had pretty good luck with them. :)

Nana :)
