well today was a great day. I clean a grocery store at night and i have a habit of checking the "take a penny" things to see if there is any wheaties. Well after a dry spell for a while i had kinda worked my way down to glancing at them every once in a while. Well tonight i hit the jackpot when i glanced over a saw what i thought was a wheatie, then stuipidly i thought wow those wheats on the back are huge. Then it hit me and I picked it up and sure enough it was a indian head penny!! I think it was dug up because ALL the detail is there it is just "coroded" and there is a new nick on the edge, most likely from a shovel. Anyways. Here is a pic. BTW it isn't the S mint :(

Nice find. I'm still looking for an Indian head penny. Hopefully my patience will payoff soon.

I found quite a few IH's when I first started detecting, but haven't found any lately...
