Hello!

I took a road trip yesterday to a little town where I received a lead on some property to detect on. I was hoping it was gonna be a good site, but it turned out to be a bust. So I drove a little further into a bigger town to find somewhere to do some treasure hunting. I did OK, especially for an area I was totally unfamiliar with. Here's what I dug:

1943-S Walking Liberty Half dollar
1957-w Play coin, one cent
4 wheat cents dating from 1919 to 1957
5 clad quarters
16 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
52 memorial cents
2 toy cars

I took pic's of the treasures before and after I cleaned them up. This half dollar is my silver coin #22 for the year (first silver half for the year)!

I really like finding these play coins. Especially this type with a 'W' mint mark (directly above the '1'). They are made in Waco Texas ~ and have the Texas State flag on the back! I took close-up pic's through a microscope so you can see all the details of this little play coin.

Thanks for looking!
Neil

The play coin is really neat and I know you like
to find them almost as much as finding silver
coins. :laughing9:

Thanks man!

Yeah, those little play coins are right in between wheat cents and Rosie dimes on my personal "treasure" scale . . . . better than finding a wheat cent, but not quite as good as a Rosie dime!
