Been testing what this machine can do, so I try to dig the best tones and see what I get. I can pick up old iron and rusty nails over 10", tabs 6"-8", even the tiny bit of metal at 5" for the Tonka piece. (coins come up at 10" easy in the soil here, but no silver or gold yet!) Shotgun shell from around 1901-1920 Winchester I believe.

The ring is heavy steel I got from a park built over a railroad track from the V&T. It is about 2" dia and flat on one side. Not sure what used for. I want to experiment with cleaning it as a relic. Can anyone give me a link to some posts showing the best way to clean this stuff? Thanks.

I personally am against cleaning anything, ever, for any reason. However, I have scrolled past a place on the home page called cleaning your finds. Nice Tonka piece. Good luck with cleaning.

The coin is a 50 pesos piece, copper-nickel in composition, and the image is of Benito Juarez. If it's 1986, then 50M were minted; if 1988, then 80+M minted. A few years ago, both were (retail) valued at about $5-$6 in VF.

It's '86. Maybe "good" condition.

10" with a classic 3?
Bluemax 950 (I guess you can call it a 10", measures at 9.5) Picked it up at a pawn shop for $140 so I can learn on the cheap. Keeping my eye out for some deals around $500 for MXT or similar.
