This is this afternoons finds, very pleased with the small medieval pendant approx 13th century (not very often that they turn up still attached to their hangers) it should clean up well. The most interesting find for me is the square lead object at the top of the picture. It has the remains of some kind of setting in it, it could be a Viking/Saxon gaming piece.

Regards
Robert.

Hello colin, just put the pendant into some oil. There's a running hare on the hanger and one also on the pendant . They don't show up well in the picture because of the oil. With patience though the piece should clean up really well, there's a lot of gilding still on it, not bad for 700/800 hundred years old :)

That is one swell find. Looking forward to seeing it cleaned up. With it being so intact would it be something banner-worthy? Aren't they tough enough to come by, let alone as intact as yours appears to be?

Pendants don't turn up too often, this site though does produce a few as well as nice Medieval mounts, and also plenty of hammered coins. I sold both these mounts recently.
