Vol1266X and I were finally able to get out after a long, cold, snowy spell. We went one of my favorite spots where I had already found several Eagle buttons. I was only able to pull one Eagle cuff button and 3 button backs. I also retrieved two .69 caliber bullets and one .31 caliber round ball and I think a .25 caliber pistol bullet. I then found a bunch of campfire lead. After lunch, we sent to another spot where we have been able to dig iron canister shot. I unearthed 7 pieces of iron canister shot, a carved bullet, a .25 caliber pistol bullet, and a flat button. Vol found a nice gold coin that he has posted here in TNet. I believe it should be a banner find! I plan on soaking my buttons in olive oil for the next few months to see how they turn out. Thanks for looking.

Dman,
You are my hero! Anyone that can pull a prank like that on the old guy deserves credit. :occasion14:
Great job on the CW relics. Will those squeeze into your full walnut case, or will these start the new case? :icon_scratch: :dontknow: Life's rough over there in Tenn. ;D
Congrats buddy,
Doug

Howdy Dman. Glad you got to get out. I ventured out myself today. It won't be long and we'll be having to bye new shoes, because we wore the others out hunting to much. :laughing7: Those are some very awsome finds. Keep up the good hunting.
:hello: HH in 2010 :hello2:

You really enjoyed the Friday hunt. I know how you like finding CW buttons and that SE is a button finding machine. I wish Modern Miner could have been with us so I could have beaten both of you with my shovel. You sometimes forget your shovel but you sure remembered to plant that fake coin that he sent you. You'll be repaid and Mike (4-H) will take care of MM.
It never ceases to amaze me that there are still Eagle buttons in that camp as it's less than an acre in size. HH.

I was detecting a pounded site with My KX. Connection a few months ago and we were digging eagles and musket parts. they keep showing up.

It's easy to pull a fast one on Q. He can hide Easter eggs and go back and hunt them in an hour because he will forget where he hid them.

Yea, I broke down and bought an F75LTD. It is lighter than the Minelab. I found the Iron canister shot, the little flat button and one of the pistol bullets with the F75. They are both fairly similar. The Minelab gets a little more depth and the Fisher is lighter and separates targets better. I like using both of them.
