ITS CLOSE TO 60 HERE TODAY IN SOUTH JERSEY. WHAT A GREAT DAY TO GO DETECTING WHICH IT WAS FOR ME. I FOUND MY FIRST 1787 NEW YORK COPPER, IN GREAT SHAPE ,ONE OF MY BEST FINDS YET. IT MIGHT NOT BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE COIN, BUT MY FAVORITE. JUST FOR THE HISTORY. I ALWAYS WONDER WHO HAD IT LAST AND WHAT THE U.S. WAS LIKE BACK THEN. WELL HH TO ALL AND GOOD LUCK

Congrats on such a great old copper. You have such a long history there in the northeast. One can only imagine how a coin like that was lost and that is what makes this hobby so great.I hope the nice weather holds out for you so you can get out and dig some more history. WTG! & HH!

Nice looking coin!
Still waiting for winter to get over with here. Ground is starting to thaw, but now they are forcasting "normal" temps for the next few weeks. I think you know what that means.
Keep posting.

Your "first"...as if you anticipate finding another?! You must be use to finding some great stuff. Those are some awesome coins that I will most likely only dream of finding.
