Stopped at a used book store, checked out the $1 each shelves.

Bought several, and found this.? 1935E Silver Certificate.

Googled it and it turns out to be a common bill.

Think I'll use it like the last person; a bookmark.

Nice find!! I wouldnt use it s a bookmark though, that one looks nice and crisp still, nice condition for its age they go for around 2-5 bucks at coin stores so not bad for face value

Reminds me of a few years ago, I emptied my gramma's house after she passed... My mother told me her mom was a notorious money stasher... must have found $1500 inside of books alone... but it was a LOT of books to go through. Well, it all went to my my ma, but I still do a quick flip through a lot of old books at yard sales. No luck yet. Nice find Sherm! I guess keeping it in a book will keep it nice and flat, but you might put a tag sticking out as a reminder that its there so you dont lose it the same way you got it. Happy hunting to all!

Pure luck for you. Last time I checked out a book at the library I was spooked. Found a photo of nephew taken by his mom (my deceased SIL) on the back she had written the G-neice's name. I called her up to tell her what I found, she was using it as a book mark. Of the thousands upon thousands of books in a library, I pick a book that held a relative's photo.
