Interesting find here - one on ebay that says its made of bronze - looks copper to me - reads as a penny. Seems to be about 1940's

Engraved - almost perfect condition 5" deep from a 1920's house - where the garden use to be.

I don't think too many makeup containers were mass produced out of bronze...I love those deceptive ebay descriptions. Usually they're innocent identification mistakes but sometimes not...buyer beware!

I was reading through a Sears 1909 Catalog last night and saw that those little rouge containers sold for 18 cents! :-*

I found one of those, they are neat, mine is in worse shape, but reads the same.

Neat find.
