Left the house at 7:30 this morning to hunt my favorite spot, it was 32 degrees but I didn't care. I was thinking about getting out all week! Not to disappoint I got my first ever Standing Liberty quarter-1927.
I don't recall ever seeing one before and wasn't sure what it was but it was shiny! Also found a 1954 Dime in great shape, a short time later. Found a few wheats and some clad. At 11am I went home for lunch and came back at noon. Found 1941, 1943 Mercury dime and a 1950 dime almost as soon as I got back there.By 3pm I was done, ended up with 12 wheats: 1925, 1934, 1941, 1942-S, 1944(3), 1948(2), 1950, 1952. A John Tyler Presidential token, and a Olympic Casino Token from North Wildwood, NJ. 1-nickel, 38 pennies, 7 quarters, and 22 dimes, and a alpha key. Brings my total to 8 silver and 43 wheats out of this one place. I am sure my luck will end soon, but will try to hit it again tomorrow. Anybody know anything about the John Tyler token?

I would say you did very well to find that much silver in one day. That is more than I found all last year.

Wish Florida was like many other states.... Every darn school here is locked up like a prison, and of course if you were to try during school hours, would probably be locked up.... Sure cuts down on hunts for me as I live in a very small town with only a couple small parks...
Saweet finds...

As plebah said, SLQ, in the ground, with legible dates, are few & far between anymore. Good Shot!

When you're sure the area is worked out, leave it...for about a month or thru a coupla good rains. Then go back low-and-slow & get the rings & "edge" coins you've missed. Bad for one's ego to go behind oneself & find goodies, but... ;D

Excellent Day!
