So I take it that bracelet was issued sometime between his capture in 1967 and his release in 1973..
Sadly, he passed away a few years ago, all I could find... Doesn't have a date just says he died of pancreatic cancer...
HELL of an American..
and HELL of a find...
ivan salis said:you got a "never forget them" pow / mia bracelet -- that one "returned" many never did , --its a historical find in it own right. -- it showed that the american people cared about the POW'S / MIA'S deeply. ---6 YEARS AND 1 MONTH of a mans life in a living hell are in that bracelet. -- feb 4th 1967 to march 4th 1973
Bomar was the man John McCain talked to by "tap code" while McCain was a POW .
Bomer was born in Pasadena , Texas April 17th of 1955 , he died on Jan 4th ,2006 in Arizona of cancer of the pancreas.
after the war he worked for the Arizona Repubican party for 14 years --then the state oif Arizona in ADOA fleet management.
