WORN THIN SEATED QUARTER. I AM NOT COMPLAINING

Hello,

I made it down to the park with my son for an hour or so. We found an 1875 seated quarter. It was only a couple inches deep.

Worn thin or not, it is still a Seated Quarter ! That is one coin that has never found its way to my pouch.

Man, those seateds got worn didn't they?
I would be afraid it was just a junction box plug or something and pitch it.

Well, I hope you dig one with detail on it if you don't clean your finds well enough to ID. Many, MANY times I have thought that the hunt was a loss until I got home and started cleaning, inspecting, and IDing. Everyone should do the same, or else those Valuable finds will get dug only to end up in the landfill.


That seated quarter is a Great find!

Man that baby has been around............however, still silver and still a seated. I found a dime like that last year that was really worn down, too
