Dad (Mach 1 Pilot), my Uncle (Life is Good), and I went to a spot where we have found about a dozen buttons, and 4 early coins.
Dad had to quit early, so he missed out on all the good stuff. ;D I was the one who won today with 3 buttons, one was gold plated, and the other had Best Strog? and in smaller letters, the word stand. I also got, what I think is a pewter spoon. Dad also got a small button. My Uncle did not get anything but junk. :laughing9: :(

Thanks for looking!

Hope you all can welcome my Son. He has been chomping at the bit to post some finds on here.... today was the day to get started. :)

As you can see, he is starting to learn the Etrac after a year and a half running an Ace 250. Once I realized that it just wasn't fair for him to be running that machine beside my Minelab and making sure he was in this for the long haul, I got him an Etrac to match mine. I can see its only a matter of time until he fully figures it out. Then my finds may be cut in half.... ::)

Here's the picture of my lowly cuff button. :)

Thanks for looking!

OOPS. Better add the picture!

I added the picture of two little odd finds today. Anyone have any ideas as to an ID?

Thanks. :)

Hey Mack 2,
Way to go today nephew. Those are some good finds.
You'll have to give us old guys some pointers.
See you on the next hunt.

Welcome to Tnet.
WTG on the finds. The backmark on the button is Best Strong Standard, somtimes they will have the word "gilt" as well. The button is British made and dates about 1800 to 1830 or so.
