WELL i was so pumped. scored the 5 vintage detectors

late last week.

http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php?topic=315302.0

the minelab tested great yesterday

today it was time to see if i could get the TEKNETICS

MARK 1 COIN COMPUTER TO WORK.

first we need to get to the store for this monster takes

14 aa batteries. now where to test.

yes old park where little has been found

i want to make sure of a fairly clean area for testing

and esp w/ that monster 15 in coil on there

for target seperation.

i had quite a time getting all the batteries in right.

now lets see ifitll fire up. NOTHING....

rapidly flipping switches still nothing.

finally came to me to try and unplug coil then replug...

ahh some slight chirps...intermittent operation.

reading the quick set instructions set dials to blue spaces.

throw down my test quarter put coil on ground.

signals everywhere... i have stepped into a can slaw

minefield.no. these are high tones. itsa penny minefield.

decided to dig them. after 16 lovely lincolns got a screamer

signal. theres your tincan..only its not.. a powder compact

too shiny... and then u recognize the winder stem..

part of an old watch. prob gold plated. i have been thru

dissappointment before so iwasnt too excited.

re: my jan fla beach find of what i thought was a plat

ring and turned out to be stainless.

in the gas station washroom i cleaned her better.

and got her under the magnifying glass. HOLY CATS !

is marked 14k. small eye shaped oval has guarnteed 25

years inside eye sez: essex 14k superior.

YEP DANCIN THE HAPPY DANCE FER SURE

MY BEST JEWELRY FIND EVER....

then as im making this post i happen to glance up.

am i seeing double ? no thats some one elses who found

a gold pocket watch an d made the banner.

whoa .and looking i see a very tiny 1-5-19. if i make it correctly

iz very small service date. can anyone tell me anything

about i never heard of essex watch. so as compared

with other found mine would be missing one cover.

what does the smaller inner cover thing do?

of couse mine isnt plow damaged the body does have

a small nick prob lawnmower caused. there are also some

scratches about 3/8 from the karat maked area

as if someone was trying to convince themself that it really

is GOLD !!!!

MANY PICS... trying to show detail of the case which is much

finer detail vs coarser lines

some body pull me off the ceiling..

my second found vintage detector works , not perfect yet

there is quite a bit of intermittancy in the controls

but it seems to be working a bit better as is used.

it would hardly go at first i had to turn it back to battery

test then to operate after every signal.

so go figure i buy the $1500 etrac and it gets tiny 10k

im out with this $25 garage sale find machine

which aint hardly working and bag the elephant.

im going back to scour the area to see if i can find the other

missing side to the case. or anything of the internal guts

of the watch movement. without them i cannot tell the time

does anyone know what time it is ? I GOT AN APPOINTMENT

WITH A CERTAIN DR. BROWN. yeah i know it was time

for me to go back to the future. hope fully the way my luck i

is running someone will offer to sell me a DELOREAN

for $100 in perfect condition.

MAY THE JIGAWATT MEGATHRILL OF FINDING GOLD

STRIKE YOU NEXT !!

Damn nice and yours isn't broken! lets see a close up of the markings and the design! I spent the last several nights surfing the net for old pure gold pocket watches.
