Nice Mikey!

You know, we used to string them on a piece of thread. They have a shelf life of over 3-5 years that way.
They shrink up to nothing. But fluff back up again when you cook em

You can Freeze them. I cut mine in half. Flour them and lay them on cookie sheet. Freeze them . Than you can put them in baggie and cook them at your leisure.

Hunting truffles now a days is likely becoming a trend not just because of the the variaty of cullinary use of it but it also comes with a very high price tag. A lot of people would pay extra just to get a hold of a very delicious, delicate, and hard to find truffles. On the question how expenssive truffles really are, you can read and watch this article about truffle hunting to learn more.

Ours dried up here in Illinois a little over 3 weeks ago. My season was a little less than average finding only 106 total for the 2 weeks they were here. Season was a little early this year. Congrats on yours.

I have never really had an appetite for mushrooms. I mean I will eat them on pizza and such, but that's about it.
This year my brother picked some Morels for the first time. He really isn't usually up to trying new things, but he sliced and fried them up with some butter and garlic salt...
He excitedly offered some to me and said it was like a good steak.

Boy was he right!! I will never pass up a Morel in the woods again.

Afterwards I found 2 huge ones on my property that were dried up already.
Wish I would have caught them earlier.
