Hey friends. Went back to the 1800's site again today. We just had a flood so to speak here in cave city so I thought the ground would be very soft and maybe I could find deeper stuff. It wasnt a bad hunt by all means. My prized piece topday was the small buckle that reads PAT. 1889 It looks very small for a buckle but the thing lifts on it and everything.. anyone have any ideas? My wife seems to think it might be off a garter? IDK. thanks for looking!! :icon_thumright:

I'd say more similar to a suspender buckle but I think many having other uses can look close.

First time ever metal detecting and found the same buckle in my back yard. This is complete with a loop on it. I read there used to be farms were my house now sits. Very excited to see what else I can find. Did you ever find out what this was?
