CW SKIRMISH SITE & A COUPLE SURPRISES

Weather was Great Here Today, Sunny and in the 50's. Art Had Prier Commitments So I Decided to Hit The CW Skirmish Site. Found The Usual Fired Minis, Shell & Shot Fragments, Sabot Pieces, Flat Buttons, Found an Enfield Bullet that some Confederate Soldier was using as a Nipple Protector for His Rifle. Now For The Surprise, Found a WW2 Silver Expert Marksmans Badge With Three Bars, Two have Coast Artillery & One Is Marked Pistol D. Also Found an ROTC Collar Brass. I Guess That I Am Not The First Person to be interested in the History of this site. Sorry For The Poor Quality of the Pics. trk5capt...

Trk,

nice group of artifacts. That area sure holds artifacts
from several different periods.

That qualifying badge would be WWII, think "Coast Artillery"
went out after WWII.

Again thanks for posting.

have a good un......

I long for the days in the 50s again. It has been too cold and frozen lately.

Nice relics I plan on looking for some here in central New Jersey.

Nice finds, nice site! Note though, that's the "Sharpshooter, First-class Gunner" qual. badge. The "expert" badge had a wreath around it. Shermanville is right, the Coast Artillery was done with shortly after WW2 (Jan 1 1950). Gotta' hit that site again!

Very neat finds. But picture quality is totally unacceptable! Especially for finds of this caliber. Come on. ;) :D JK. WTG. If your camera has a macro or "scene" selection you should use it. I know some cameras just have a limmited close up capabilities. Anyway, keep 'em coming.
