Hi all, been hunting around a small area which was known as Battery Hill. Theres about 20 gold mines on the hill and a lot of small diggings and tailing piles spread along the creek. total area covers about 2 square miles, in the 3 days i spent there i only covered the areas that looked promising.Beening late autunm the winter rains have started and 2 inches fell over night. The clay turns too thick mud and the roads become rivers so ,i might have to wait to spring to get back to this site. Finally managed a whole buckle and few nuggets and some relics.

There pic taken in the gold miners days to give an idea how things were.

Great pictures! But the finds are sweet looking.
Liking the yellow as always, but the weight is a real nice bonus for a hunt.
Seems like the buttons really hold up well in the elements. :icon_thumright:

Hi TP,

Please put some baby oil (they say it's less corrosive on relics than olive oil) on your medal and upload the piccies.
