Today's hunt nets wheats, silver and 100th indian

today I went knocking doors again....my favorite way to get properties. Was driving thru town and saw a man working outside at an older home. I stopped and asked permission to search the yard, he granted me permission and away I went!

I got 14 wheats, earliest was 1916, 1920-D, rest was 1930-40's
2 silver Mercury dimes, and a 1906 indian, which is my 100th dug indian since I started detecting less than 3 yrs ago. First year I found 12 indians,
last year I found 57, and as of today I am at 31 for this year, for a total of 100. My goal this year is to beat last years total. I got a good start so far.

Nice finds,

Indians are one of my favorite coins to dig. 100 is a big accomplishment. They aren't easy to come by. In the last 7 yrs or so I got close to 400. They never get old. I don't have a 77 yet though.

Excellent Finds!!

I'm in the Toledo area and would love to link up some time.

I've been thinking about trying to get on the Fulton County fairgrounds. I've got a slight in there, and I hope it pays off.

Congrats on 100... Still looking for my first, but hopefully being in OK and an older city will get me started.

Re: Today's hunt nets wheats, silver and 100th indian

I found my very first Indian last night. It's in pretty rough shape, but I think I'm able to make out the date of 1903, which makes it my oldest found coin so far. Congrats on #100! :headbang:
