Lost Farm II 1723 and for you my heart

Wed. 6-9-10 chilly , with rain in the forecast , biting insects and a can of "Off ". :P " Do you see that hole over there ?" asked the farmer who bore a striking resemblance to George C Scott ." My father said there was a old home there way back when he was a kid . He's been gone now close to 30 years ! The house , termites ate it , fell down . He pointed to a depression in the ground at the edge of the field . I wouldn't use that thing there because it is full of old junk that they threw away years ago . Any way, do what you want and let me know if you find any bottles . If I find some bottles , they are yours ,was my reply . That is how some of these locations are discovered .Word of mouth. Most are through research and looking for signs . The rest of the story can be told with a picture , or 10 pictures . This post goes out to some kids, at CHOP . I received an email , from , Mark and friends . They are patients at Children's Hospital of Pediatrics in Philadelphia ,PA ,who have internet access , and follow us at T-Net . Mentions there are a bunch of us , who live out adventures through you guys and wish we could do the things you do , but we are disabled .The things you find are awesome and they are neat to look at , esp. the real old coins . We enjoy seeing what you and the other people find . He goes on to say , that the real treasure is , your health . Never saw that one coming , no idea or never thought about it :sign13: viewers of this nature . This goes out to you kids. Thank You and , God Bless , you guys" ! Almost left this out , found : 1723 KG I ,1801 cent ,silver heart " to you my heart " 8) to CHOP, a key, thimbles, copper spout ,3 buttons , 2 bells , lion door knob .. " be strong like the lion" , lead sheep toy :o , iron relics , and an old bottle for George C :icon_pirat: CMDdawg

Well, you continue to amaze me with your finds. One of my first finds was that exact bell, found in my suburban yard some years back. It is the find that got me hooked on the hobby. The grommet hole dates that to mid 19th century.

I am friendly with a few of the physicians over at CHOP, and never knew that these kids would be following TNet from there. That was very touching.

Unfortunately, with the lack of old farm fields nearby, I have basically hung up my equipment until fall.

Great finds. The other half of your heart would read "My love I give" alltogether " My love I give my heart to you" It is a friendship necklace that you would snap in half with each person taking one half of it. I actually found both pieces to one of them about 20 feet apart, 5 or so years ago. Maybe the couple decided to call it quits !!

Hi Neil ,The bells seem to pop up all over the North East ..I imagine a lot were from ,sleighs pulled by horses .They are in working order . CHildrens Hospital ,Ihave been looking into that , part of the hospital is on Broad St. another on 34 South ,Spruce St. I have heard great things about the hospital and staff . There are some serious cases there . I think most watch Cartoon NEtwork ;D to the ones on the net

Great finds as always, mate :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
That lion handle and a love token are really dream things. Thank u for the story about kids. Youngsters really admire us. They always stop by to watch. If more young people were involved in our hobby, there would be much less trouble in this world.
