I live only 45 minutes from Tybee Beach, and right now it is SO sanded in !
The locals go to the north beach by the light house and the tourist on the south end with the
motels. hardly no one goes in the water from my observations.
I know of several MD'ers that hit that beach most every day at low tide.
It is pot luck on any fresh drops there !!

wish you luck & HH

My tip is to eyeball people wearing expensive looking jewelery and try to get them playing some kind of action sport so they get sweaty, which might cause the jewelery to slip off. Then go and detect the area afterwards. Then return the item to them. It feels really satisfying to be able to return an item to someone who lost it.

you just summed up beach hunting apart from the hope that the cold water will shrink their fingers

It's just taking the hobby into your own hands and manufacturing youself some finds. Similar to going to a "club hunt" that is "seeded."

Sounds like what I got into this hobby for. No history required.

Ha.

Thanks to all that replied. I will probably do all the suggestions except the guy that suggested I get the jewelry people sweaty. HaHa. Thanks again to all. I will post results next week if at all worthwhile.
