Was there a match on today :tongue3: :tongue3: :tongue3: wonder what the score was :laughing7:

Still scratching around for land...

Spent just about an hour on the edge of a Bean Field where it had not grown very well. I had just given up with only a brass ring to my name & was weaving my way back to Dad when out popped a 9th Century Saxon Strapend :o
We gridded as much as that area as possible but it was a freak find.

Surprise Field...

Moved on to the Surprise Field for 2.5 hours with only a Scrappy Roman Coin & bits...

Still any day with Saxon in it rocks in my books :headbang:

have you ever thought of writing a book about your finds & adventures with your Dad? I would buy it.

Only because a few have suggested it. But Tnet is easier than writing a book.

You write it and I'll buy it also.
Nothing like adventures with your dad.
Later in life memories fade but words do not
and to sit back and read forgotten tales and
adventures will surely bring a smile to your
face !!

I'm planning & collecting data on a reference book, but not a aventure type.

We have detailed records & maps to remind us of the good days, broken down into anyway you like. Day/year/field/find/weight/GPS co-ord/etc..

Forgot:

Today was a bit of an aventure:

On the way to the second field, I smelt burning rubber, then we had a blow-out at 65mph. Had to stop & change the wheel. It was caused by dry clay stuck between the wheel from the muddy tracks we go down. We will be looking more closely between the wheels in future :tongue3:
