SEATED SILVER SUNDAY

3 hunts all in one thread.
wed got out for a few hours with jay(trapper2 from friendly forum) took me to a cellar hole he had found.not much there and he yells dave look what i found!
he's holding some big farm apparatus .
saturdays hunt with (fastfrank from friendly forum)yielded nothing but a button and a few wheaties and a sacawhateva dollar at a old 1700's abandoned home.thought for sure in the near dark it was a large cent
sundays hunt with mike(forino) was frustrating cuz we couldn't find the cellar holes that we went lookin for so..we ended back at the church green area where i dug a seated,barber dimes and a barber half in the past.
made my day to dig this 1885 seated dime. scratch that...made my weekend!
another short hunt i dug the old hunting dog button.

Its definately a hunts button or sports button as you say. Many had dogs heads etc, the fox's are normally looking over their shoulder, so I'm a little unsure. Looks kinda fox like but could be dog

Sweet seated I think its a dog on the button look at the ears. Probably a pointer

Nice seated dime, it's always a good day when one of those shows up. I think the button is a depiction of "Sensation", the mascot of The Westminster Kennel Club. ca. 1930's, still a cool find.

by the way that is a cutterbar off of a sickle bar mower... really common. most of the times you will find just the teeth...(triangles)

I'm jealous lol very nice finds ive found nice stuff to but latly my junk meters running high not even finding dandy buttons but found new location to day on 1840;s map drove out located two cellar holes look untouched will hunt tomorrow morning you found some nice finds like the seated

Congrates on the Seated, it has some unusual wear pattern to it. Almost looks like someone was purposely trying to wear off the "One Dime" on the reverse. Or is it just because I haven't dug one in a while?
