I'm at work, so I don't have my coin book. It looks like it may be a silver Canadian quarter from the early 1900's or late 1800's. Its age is probably equivalent to our barber series of coins. Nice find! :)

Congrats on the old 'fish scale'...I have not found one of those yet.

Plehbah got me thinking about how many foriegn (non-US) silvers I have found and I think my folder contains five. 2 silver cobs, 1 half reale, 1 Chinese silver dollar and a very small Holand dime (i think that what it was).

I would hunt that lakeshore again.

Looks like a dime 18mm ? 5 cents or fishscales are 15mm.

Here in Nova Scotia I recently found a barber dime, which would be foreign here.
