I had the day off today so I got up early and decided to hunt a park that I have not hunted in a while. Last time I hunted it a few months ago I got a few wheat pennies. It has been very hot here in Tennessee so I knew my time was short. I was hunting around a large oak tree when I got a good signal. It was a Susan B. Anthony dollar. My second one this year. I hunted here for a while and was just getting the usual clad. So then I decided to hunt at the far end of the park where it looked like an old bridge used to go across the creek nearby. I got a quarter signal about 5" deep. When I saw the bright silver I was stoked. Then I saw it was not a quarter. It was a silver head/tails coin with a naked lady on the heads side and her behind on the tails side. I have seen these posted before but it was my first. In all I found 1 Susan B. dollar, 3 quarters, 15 dimes, a few pennies with 1962 the oldest, the heads/tails coin, an old buckle with some of the leather still attached and some odds and ends. After two hours with no breeze blowing and near 90 out I decided to call it a day.

I'm jealous. The token I found, 16 years ago, is identical but not silver!

It's still one of my prize finds to this day!
