Guam, live grenade found, pin found nearby, back in 84

We found this grenade, the pin nearby, and human femur while exploring the jungle on Guam when I was stationed there during 83-85 time frame. Japanese General somebody's Cave is in the background. We were actually detecting across the street and on a slope when we found these items. Guam was great.

Thanks, that was an old Bounty Hunter Red Baron, which I really didn't like too much. I had always read good stuff about it in the 70's in W&E Treasures magazine, so I got this one at a pawn shop and took it to Guam with me. I wish I had had a better detector. I was stationed in Sicily too for a year....same situation, I had a Garrett AT-3 water detector which I did not like, but that is all I had. I found several interesting items and some coins, but was never too good with the machine. I should have kept my old White's Coinmaster IV, brother I was a pro with that, but I wanted to go VLF. Now I have the Sov GT, which I like but have a long way to master.

I was in Guam a little after time frame (arund 85-87), on the Navy base, but I would have never used a metal detector, I'd be afraid of finding a live ordinance.
I mean the last Japanese soldier from WW2 didn't surrender until 1972: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoichi_Yokoi
