Recent finds / 1909 Barber hlf, 44 Merc , buff, gold & silver rig, 1934 dog tag

Hello all, I’m finally digging some keepers. Got my 1st gold for the year, a 14k nugget ring, also a .925 Mickey charm and a silver middle school class ring of 1985 /with initials, I did a little research, the school I believe is located in Newark, NJ, I will see if they have a alumni or student body that could help locate the owner. Someone got creative and made a pair of earrings with two 1973 “S” memorial pennies.
The 1909 Barber half is pretty worn but that find definitely made my day, a no date Buff, 1944 Merc & Wheat. I thought I had my 1st copper for the year when I dug the 1934 dog tag. Not sure what the Ford cap went on, I found it on a old trail laying on top of the ground. Thanks for looking!

Long time no speak to. See you are really finding some keepers for sure! I enjoyed our hunt last year. We must meet up again soon when you have the time. I hit Garrett Mountain today, but, just a clad day for me. I had my first son Jesse last year soon after we met up. He will be turning 1 in August, so, haven't been getting out too much. However, just got a brand new Safari and will be trying to get out at least 2 times per week. Send me an email if you're ever up for a hunt. I have a really great spot we can hit in Paramus. I always do well there. You are having one heck of a year so far. Keep up the good work!

The Ford thing is a hub center cap from a model T wheel.

This is from about 5/6 trips out in the last 2 weeks, not much the first week then the 2nd week I hit a old school before a doctors visit and found the rings, Merc and charm. The barber was found in a creek wedged between some rocks on it's edge at ground level, I passed that spot several times but this time I had my machine in all metal mode got a hit and a surprise!

Nnice finds!! The key with the 3 small holes on top is actually a old key from a handcuff set back in the early 50's.

I really love Barber halves & rings, and that old dog tag would have made my week!

Congrats on the success. Too bad that Model T hubcap is shredded. I found one a couple years ago. They're interesting conversation pieces.

what a great day i wish i was finding that much, i have been fishing more than detecting, fishing is good but cant make money off fish. great finds post more
