had to update this post, what I have found is a greek copy, found in in Everett, wa on the beach This Gela tetradrachm copy was produced as an advertisement for a book on Ancient Greece and was sent to thousands of addresses glued to a paper ad. Now Who thought it would be funny to toss this in the beach?? I have read that these are very old any inputs??

Re: possibly oldest coin ever found

Lots on ancient reproductions floating around, but it is very possible to find an authentic one. (of course having been lost in modern times)
