great finds in the field...but what are those metal pieces in the first photo??? Did you attack the sprinkler ;)?

I don't know...they responded like silver, but are obviously melted pieces of something. No fires could have been on the field. Maybe they got melted by a lightning strike...?

Still a nice chunk of change Beep, WTG!!!
That piece of metal lower right just give me a new contest idea ::)
See who has a piece of junk metal that most resembles something else...
I can see a little wiener dog (Dutchhound) head on the top of that piece... ;D
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Beep, I have a piece of tin that looks melted, and looked similar to your left hand piece, until the vacuum cleaner broke off the longest piece of it. The broken off area was real shiny on its interior. It beeped low grade silver on the 250 Ace. The jeweler's acid test left the possibility that it was indeed silver, the burn test left me with ash, not a left over beeded up piece of silver. Check Is it Silver? In the What Is It? section. This was my thread, and it lists many different ways you can check out what metal it may be, and you can do them at home.
