1902 Barber Quarter & a Heart Heal Plate (pics)

Hi guys, my buddy and I got out yesterday and hunted another old one room
school house. I found a 1902 barber quarter, a real nice heart heal plate ( first one
I ever found with paint on it) a 1890 indian head and a cache blade. My buddy
of course beat me again. He found a 1855 Seated Half dollar, only trouble with
that is someone punched a hole in the last 5. He also found a AA token and an
old Canadian Large cent, we couldn't read the date. We really had another good day.

Hey Denny. Sounds like a great day. That seated half must have been a shocker. You know even if you can't find it at least you where there - it's almost as if you found it. That Canadian coin is also sweet. I have found king george pennies(equivalent to our wheat pennies) but nothing else Canadian that was old.

You are sure making the rounds on these one room schoolhouses. I figure by the end of the year you will have cleaned out every one in Ohio west of the Cuyahoga river. ;)

Another great hunt, RFinder. Your research payed off.

I've found a heel plate but it didn't have that checkerboard-imprint pattern on it. I never seen one like yours.

Hi all,
Yes we have had some great hunting sites this year. But actually they are sites that I' ve hunted
before, it's just that we are going back over them again this year . We are using the ACE 250 with
a SunRay Probe.

Yesterday we went back to the old school house that I posted 2 other times, this is our third trip to this
site. I found 11 wheaties, 1 Indian head penny 1890, a hunting medal, a buffalo nickel (couldn't read the date)
and a couple of neat buttons. Sorry I don't have any photos of those finds. I was digging any signal that was
6-7 inches deep and almost always it was a wheatie.
My buddy found 2 Mercury dimes ( dates in the 1920's ) and two Indian head pennies.

All in all, that site is still producing. Can't wait to go back again.
