First of my 1 day holidays on the field, completed 7.5 hours on the new Barley Stubble Fields we got last weekend.

Had a good day & Dad joined me for 1 hour right at the point I started gridding out of a dry area & into a hotspot - I picked up the Lizy Halfgroat & Dad the cut half of Henry III.

Don't take this the wrong way (because you excel in what you do), but I would leave the Gold rings & stuff, unless they were off an ancient shipwreck, its just not my thing. You could come detecting with me but you would never make the kinda money your used to.

Strange bronze hanging weight - looks Roman

I believe it's a Roman steelyard weight. I like every bit and piece. For me as well it's million times better than modern beach finds.

But they are two old historical bullets, you won't find much older ones

Yea that is a neat coin/token. The thimble is also nice Cru, nice hunt, you were busy....

Things are looking good for you Cru and the finds are really good, you must have a few hammered now I think this season will be real tough for us with the loss of fields, and what we have drying up a bit

Me too Colin, we just don't find that sort of stuff (or much of it) on the fields here. Only deep in the ground in the centers of the cities....(and I don't get there much).
